"Dark Istambul", é um exercício brilhante de sobreposição narrativa que funde a identidade visual da cidade através de três fragmentos capturados num único dia de 2019. A obra utiliza o busto clássico como uma âncora histórica, sobre o qual se projeta a vivacidade de um peixe estilizado e a textura crua de cartazes rasgados nas ruas, criando uma simbiose entre o legado bizantino e a efervescência da arte urbana contemporânea. Ao amalgamar estas camadas, o autor consegue transpor a natureza multifacetada de Istambul — onde o antigo e o moderno não apenas coexistem, mas se entrelaçam numa malha visual densa, mística e profundamente atmosférica.
"Dark Istanbul", is a brilliant exercise in narrative layering that fuses the city's visual identity through three fragments captured on a single day in 2019. The work uses the classical bust as a historical anchor, over which the vibrancy of a stylised fish and the raw texture of torn street posters are projected, creating a symbiosis between Byzantine legacy and the effervescence of contemporary urban art. By amalgamating these layers, the artist successfully conveys the multifaceted nature of Istanbul — where the ancient and the modern do not merely coexist, but intertwine in a dense, mystical, and profoundly atmospheric visual mesh.
